Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at River of Life Church, 3801 Blairs Ferry Rd. NE, Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, November 10, at the church by Pastor Steve Irwin. Cremation will follow services. A private committal service will take place at a later date. Apodaca of Texas; two sisters, Elysia Severson and Mia Perez of Belle Plaine; two brothers, Elijah Apodaca and Alfonso Apodaca of Texas; maternal grandmother, Tamara Johnson of Marion; maternal grandfather, Bill (Cathy) Van Nevel of Belle Plaine; maternal great-grandmother, Cella Van Nevel of Belle Plaine; maternal great-grandfather, Dick Renzo of Traer; and her boyfriend, Cody Northrop of Texas.She was preceded in death by two sisters, Naomi Apodaca and Isabella Severson; paternal grandparents, John and Deborah Apodaca; maternal great-grandmother, Nancy Renzo.Selena was born November 24, 1999, the daughter of Benjamin Apodaca and Jennifer (Van Nevel) Perez. She was in the 11th grade at Linn-Mar High School in Marion.
